Creativity Workshop Weekend



Join us This Saturday, February 6th, from 2-4 pm for not one, but two Make n Takes.
Come join Julie and try your hand at our favorite marker - Copic Sketch - and create this adorable Valentine's Day Card, and then let Rene introduce you to 'Grunge", by combining My Mind's Eye's Life Stories line with some of Tim Holtz's Idea-ology trinkets to create this truly rustic tag.

Flower Soft is an amazing pot of coloured sprinkles that allows you to create texture, designs and miniature floral embellishments, it’s acid free and is loved by card makers and scrapbookers alike! It's so simple; all you need is a quality PVA glue and imagination! Sold in 30ml pots a little goes a long way.

Detailing Your Die-Cuts
Everyone has a personal die-cutting system now, and are cutting out shapes and letters at home. If you have a Sizzix, Cricut, QuicKutz, Spellbinders, BossKuts, or Pazzles, let Carolyn show you how to make your die-cuts come alive! Chalking, inking and doodling add depth, dimension and artistry to your die-cuts, making the ordinary - Extraordinary! Come learn techniques that you can use forever and bring your die-cuts to life.

**Each month we will 'Detail' 8-10 diecuts that will change to reflect that month's seasonal theme.**

In addition to your basic class supplies, for this class you will need to bring or purchase: Chalks, Black Detailing Pen (ZIG .005 Millennium), a White Signo Pen, and a Sakura Clear Stardust GellyRoll Pen, scissors, adhesives (tape runner, glue and glue dots) and a brown ink pad (preferably Tim Holtz Distressed Tea Dye).

Recipes

You're Invited! Join us to create six to eight original recipe pages that even Grandma would be proud of. And, consider bringing in a favorite recipe of your own, and we may feature one of your recipes in an upcoming class. Invite your friends and lets get cooking!

*Along with your basic tools, please bring a Brown ink pad and Brown or Black pen to class if you have one available.

Copic Cards

Copic markers are all the rage! Are you interested in learning to use these little gems? Why not give it a try with the help of one of our Certified Copic Instructors and see how easy it is to get beautiful results your very first time. Come learn basic Copic marker coloring techniques as we create (5) five adorable cards. We'll stamp, color, emboss using Cuttlebug embossing folders, flock and glitter, in this totally hands-on class!Month, this class features new card designs**

Girly Girl

What could be more sweet and precious than pink polka dots, pink sparkly paper, and a tiara complete with pink rhinestones? Join Melanie and create two adorable 2-page layouts, four pages in all, using jewels, ribbon, Bo Bunny stickers, and coordinating paper from the Bo Bunny girl collection. Is your girl no longer a baby? Leave off a few stickers, and have girly-girl pages for any age!

Beginning

Just getting started or want to? Getting started DOES NOT need to be overwhelming! In this hands-on class, we will teach you everything you need to know to get started scrapbooking. Bulk up your knowledge of cutting tools, paper, adhesive and albums. Plenty of opportunity for Q&A and a store tour. All supplies provided.

Tool Time - Die Cutting Systems

What a great class! Compare (4) four of our favorite Die Cutting Systems: Sizzix Big Shot vs. CuttleBug vs. QuicKutz Revolution & Squeeze vs. Spellbinder's Wizard. Join us for a fun evening full of ideas for how to use your personal die cutting system. We'll focus on using the Big Shot for so many different things, from 1) multiple dies and their use; 2) embossing (brass templates to Cuttlebug folders to Texture plates; and 3) all the materials it can cut, from chipboard to fabric to metal to, well, you'll just have to come see for yourself. Whether or not you own a personal die-cutting system, this is an information packed two hours you won't want to miss. Class size is limited.

Cricut Classes

Cricut 102 - Design Studio
Take your Cricut to the next step. The Design Studio Software will add the ability to save massive amounts of paper, weld letters to make CUTE titles and shapes, save your projects and cuts for later, and have an instant cartridge library at your fingertips. We'll teach you the basics of using the on-screen cutting mat to design unique layouts by moving, reorganizing, rotating, and welding letters and shapes together.
Supplies you need to bring for class: Laptop with Design Studio Software loaded, or the Design Studio DEMO from Cricut.com (If you own a desktop you can come listen to the presentation without supplies).

Cricut 103 - Accessories

Come expand your use of the Cricut to encompass all aspects of scrapbooking from embossing to stamping to cutting acrylic and cork. We will go over how to use all of the different Cricut Accessories available including the Deepcut Blade and Pens. During this class we will also talk about cutting different types of material with your cricut, such as fabric and vinyl. All of the accessories mentioned can be used with all three Cricut machines so come join us and play!

Included in your class pack is your own Cricut Cuttables Embossing Folder Kit, a $7.99 value!
Supplies you need to bring for class: Cricut machine, mat, cartridge that came with your machine.
