When he was three he said the funniest things. I made this layout so that I could remember those precious words. My challenge to you, is for you to make a layout that quotes the words or phrases that reminds you of that person. It can be silly or not so silly.

Employee Spotlight!!

These fantastic pages were made by the Page's own Stacey Van de Wiele! Stacy's hometown is Milan, Illinois. She has a husband named Brad, a 3-year old son named Ethan, a black lab named Shelly, and a cat (who think's he's a dog) named Morgan! Stacey has been scrapbooking religiously for 2 years (mainily because she couldin't resist scrapbooking pictures of Ethan!). Her scrapbooking tool must have is the Pazzles Creative Cutter (Custom Die Cutter). Stacey also loves to use patterned paper and rub-ons for almost every layout she does. Her favorite thing to scrapbook is layouts, but she also likes to create cards out of her layout scraps! A fun thing to know about Stacey is that it is nearly impossible for her to sneeze without making an involuntary high pitched (very loud) scram. It has been known to scare people that don't know her!!

Many of you may have already heard, but for those of you that haven't, Captured Memories Scrapbook Store in Independence, MO is closing. Brent and Tammy have been dear friends to many of us and with Brent's tragic loss five months ago, Tammy has decided to close their store.

Captured Memories is closed today and tomorrow, but will re-open on Wednesday, July 30th with normal store hours to begin their store closing sale.

Beyond Beginning - Technique II

Seriously, will we ever know how many things you can do to paper with ink and paint? We had to split our technique classes because there is so much to learn. If you enjoy tweaking your layouts and using different techniques to set your pages apart from others, join us. We’ll be exploring stamping with paint & ink, using positive and negative images from punches, and some very cool paper distressing techniques with a great new tool. Can’t wait to see you!

Beyond Beginning - Embellishments II

How much fun can a second embellishments class be? Well, this is the class where we will use all those metal thingys you see in the store. Brads, staples, paperclips, safety pins and washers - make sure you don’t wear a magnetic shirt. We’ll experiment with these embellishments along with using more punches, chipboard and diecuts. Your layouts will definitely be a little heavier with these accents, but it’s definitely worth the “weight”!

Beyond Beginning - DDT

No more flat-layout days! DDT class will help you to give body and volume to your layouts. Similiar to flat hair days, flat layout days are caused from a lack of depth and texture elements, but these days can be eradicated for good. Join me to learn some ways to add depth, dimension, and texture elements to your layouts or any paper-crafting project.

You’re looking through your pictures and discover a treasured old photo and automatically you think of creating a layout. In addition, this class will help you with all those non-photo items you’d like to save in a scrapbook, such as tickets and programs.
