Tune-in Tuesday: Treat Tubes!

Vicki has been busy creating a ton of treat tubes lately!  Check 'em out:

The Page now carries these great treat tubes in three different sizes!  Candy always works nicely in these tubes... Skittles, M&M's, or perhaps nuts... you know, for your "squirrelly" friend (we all have 'em!)  :)

And these tubes can be used for more than just treat containers... the 4-1/2" & 7" tubes are sized perfectly to hold nicely stacked quarters!  How about a "Laundry Fund" tube gift for a college kid?

The "wand" is great for creating pinwheels or maybe a little something for a princess? A wand filled with buttons makes a great gift idea for a seamstress, scrapbooker, or papercrafter.

And these aren't just for giving... can you say "STORAGE"?  Exactly!  As scrapbookers & papercrafters, we all have a ton of little bits & bobbs, and these tubes are easy to tuck away & tote!  Look at how Nina B. stores her flowers:

Brilliant!!

My favorite gift tube that Vicki created has to be this cute teacher set, complete with accompanying mini-book in a little holder... absolutely adorable!  And what a quick, cute & easy gift this makes!!

Saturday Creativity Workshop
Don't you want to make some of these?!!!  Well, come on by on Saturday, September 3rd from 2pm-4pm and join Vicki in creating this versatile treat tube gift:
  A card & gift tube all-in-one!
{candy not included}

See you then!

Did you miss Saturday?

Our Creativity Workshop yesterday was a HUGE hit!  And why wouldn't it be, right?  Who doesn't love getting down and dirty with gesso & ink?!

Here's our resident shabby-chic girl, Rene, teaching a few SBP customers how to create a shabby look by gluing paper down and then ripping it off for texture:

Check out the line waiting to create this... talk about demand!  We hope you got in early with your tickets ;)

And the finished project tag!  Gorgeousness, don't ya' think?

Tune in later this week to find out what the next Creativity Workshop will be.

Freaky Friday...

How about a little fun today?!  And by fun, I mean reeeeeallly fun ;)
I know quite a few of you have already seen these little gems in the store, but we thought you may want to know what products and Copic markers were used so that you can re-create them at home!
(please click images to enlarge)

First up... well... let's just call her...
Devilishly Sweet Tilda

Can you spot what makes her look a little "devilish"?
Yep, that's right... Barb decided to balance out that sweetness with a nice pair of horns :)  I'm sure you're not surprised by that one!

Stamps:  Magnolia - Lucia Tilda
Paper:  Basic Grey - bittersweet praline
Creative Imaginations - Wasn't Me
Other:  EK Success Graceful Heart punch, May Arts ribbon, black rhinestones

Now, if adding a couple of little ol' horns to a Tilda image has you second-guessing anything, then you'd better hold on to your keyboard for this one:
Franken-Tilda

Oh yes.  Yes she did.  Barb had every intention of making Tilda into a sweet little witch, but a customer suggested to go all "Frankie" on her instead.

Ask and you shall receive ;)
A few quick stitches with a Copic Multiliner, and a monster was born!

Upcoming Classes & this Saturday's Make-n-Take!

Butterfly Garden Layouts with Rene Koehn:

These GORGEOUS layouts are soooooo Rene-style:  soft, chic, and that bit o' shabbiness that adds just the right touch to these feminine pages.  If you hurry, she MIGHT still have a few spots open... so be sure to call and reserve your spot!

Saturday, August 27th Make-n-Take:
Join Rene from 2pm-4pm and get down and dirty with Studio gesso, acrylic paint daubers, and the shimmer of Perfect Pearls!  This beautiful tag will be the perfect addition a to heritage, shabby-chic, or feminine layout!

Summer Fresh Design Layouts with Vicki Sands:
Wednesday, August 31st from 6:30-8:30pm
Clean and Simple meet The Little Details!  Plenty of room for several photos, these layouts are geared for both beginner and seasoned scrapbookers alike, who want a fresh look to their pages.  Just look at those ants... SO ca-yoot!  There is plenty of time left to sign up, so give us a call!

Guess who's swooning, now?

Yep, it's me...  Carolyn!  The new Flea Market Style magazine arrived at the store last week, and I couldn't be happier...
:)
See?

Look at those vintage suitcase shelves!  Fantastic!

Typically they only have one release in Spring, but this year they have done their first ever Fall release.  Yippeee!  Now I don't have to sit, pining away for it all winter... well... ok... I'll still be pining, but it will definitely be easier ;)

This magazine was so hard to find... so after cruising and calling all over town, I decided to bring it into the store!  One copy is great, but an entire PILE to share is so exciting.  All of the corners are already curled up on my copy, and it just makes me even MORE excited for the Junk Bonanza in September!
